Craig - any half decent chippie/joiner would be able to knock that up no probs. Just MDF all the way and a 2-pack finish.

I know a great one (chippie/joiner), but he's stacked out with work until the spring!

I've got another contact who I've sent the link to for a price. They have a fully kitted out workshop with CNC machines etc. and a spray shop to finish.

Materials - approx 200 quid for painted mdf, or furniture board melamine. Plus mattresses - 3-500 quid I guess depending on quality required.

A couple of days' work to draw up, cut and assemble. Piece of pud. Speak to a local chippy, you'll save loads on the price and shipping. You can also get it made to the exact size you want.

Why not try contacting Berg Furniture, tell them you've lost the assembly instructions for the bed and ask for a new copy. Bingo, you'll have a headstart with the plans

Assembly instructions will not be a measured drawing / cutting list. It will be a clue to Berg'a general construction approach, but not much else frankly.

It will be pretty obvious to a chippy how that will need to go together - it is even to me as a keen, and overburdened hobbyist (yes that means I'd love to help, but have a lot of other projects on at the moment which as they are for my wife, and have been delayed already means that if I want to keep my anatomy intact, I'd better get it done).

Ok, our bed, kidney shaped dressing table, chests of drawers, wardrobe organisers, sideboard and corner unit for the dining room, bookcase, new kitchen .... yeh, I heard you dear, but I just finished the decorating and converting those firewood pallets into bedside tables for your eco-friendly daughter, and I have a job to hold down too..... etc.

Hi mate,

Here you go:

So - you could get it made for about £700, then buy something like the new Bosch electric spray guns (from about £50) which take water based paints (amongst others) which will give a very good finish.

If you're interested, I'll send you their details. I use them for all our exhibition build work and the quality of their work is A1 (and they owe me a favour )
