Was talking to someone who seemed to think the end of the world was coming.

I tried to explain to him I can go to the shop and buy luxury foods, that used to be for special occasions. Every house has expensive cars and spend a small fortune on unnecessary items that are just for playing around.

Surely we haven't had it this good before?

And as the economy has been built on personal debt, and not exports, things 'may' get very ropey - I wonder how many actually own their cars, or any possession over a certain amount, and how many used credit to fund their facade of a lifestyle.....

Thats the bloody annoying thing.

I have no debt, no do any of my family (apart from reasonable mortgages).

But with 75% (?) being reckless (particularly the Gov't) its going to feck my lifestyle up (or at least put my life on hold)

I believe the saying goes:

When you owe the bank £100k you're in trouble.

When you owe the bank £30m they're in trouble.

When the banks / gov't owe billions we're all in trouble.

Which is apparently halfway between Fabio and Chav and literally means Italian Chav.
