I don't know what it is about December that makes mid-week drinking so socially acceptable, but I like it.

Last nights excursion was in aid of the old uni-boys Christmas knees-up...obviously a very civilised affair. Anybody else not feeling too clever this morning?

Today is going to be a looooong day at work...zzz..zz.z.z..

I was thinking about this last night. I have been belted the last 10 nights straight. I am having trouble holding my coffee steady and could really do with anight off the sauce. In January.

I think that's why January is so shiiiite, because your body is coming off the sauce...alcoholic stylee.

My poor liver!

My friend's got me drinking dandelion root coffee to protect my liver. It tastes pretty funky.

I’m actually still rat arsed at the moment.

Got home at 1am and chucked up 7 pints of Guinness in a bucket next to the bed. Mrs Tee was not best pleased hehe

Just got in.

Feel like death warmed up.

I remember drinking Baileys eek in the bar of the Four Pillars Hotel in Oxford at 3.50am.

Woke up this morning at 7.00am with some chicken sandwich stuck to my face.

I've showered but still feel dirty. I'm not drinking again until tonight.

One of the benefits of being a father of young children is that you can come into work with an evil hangover and blame your uselessness on being 'up all night with puking kids...rolleyes'

You get sympathy and people think you are a caring father.

Ah, the Four Pillars. At least you managed to get back to the right hotel. Group of us were staying there recently and one poor soul was so far gone he ended up getting a taxi to the Four Pillars in Abingdon. £72 taxi fare later he finally made it back. Fair play though, he was on the first tee at 10:30.

Right now I'm not sure if I've managed to get away with the excess of yesterday. Started off at midday with the team christmas lunch and went steadily downhill from there. Must have been on the whiskey by about 4 in the afternoon. I rememeber having a bottle of champagne in a Thai restaurant about half ten last night.

Feel remarkably good considering, just hope its not a false dawn.

Goooood, nothing like a lot of other reprobates to make you feel better about yourself.

December is just one long weekend, although January is one looong Monday. It's all worth it though.

I think lunch is going to be beer battered cod and chips with a pint of the west coutry's best apple-fermented produce...is it lunch time yet?

Having dragged myself through the morning on a diet of fags, coffee and Jeremy Kyle, I am now facing the prospect of a ghastly school nativity play, and the need to appear pleasant to people when all I really want to do is behave like Charlie Brooker.

Its looking increasingly like the need for another January on the wagon. The sessions are queued in the diary as far as December can see. Not good.
