Acer/Vista Help!

My laptop wireless connectivity is not turned on and I can't work out how to turn it, I don't have a manual and I only have access to a limited number of websites through my work computer (fortunately PH is one of them).

Can someone give me instructions on how to manually turn on the wireless connection?

The Laptop is an Acer 5920 if that helps.

on a serious point try moving the switch for wi-fi? or were you on about the wi-fi not actually conecting to the router?

I don't know how to do that either, pooters are not my forte to be honest.

Acer laptops have a little slidey switch on the front
(mine has two - 1x for wifi and 1x for bluetooth)

pull it to the right and let go - should say 'Wireless LAN enabled' on the screen

ETA : manuals choose Extensa 500 from Acer Notebooks, then choose the aspire 5920 from the choices

I'm struggling with this, it keeps turning itself off and the router is fine.

Can someone tell me how to check wireless connectivity on the computers settings.

Control Panel > Networks and Sharing...

My Acer did that a few times, but doesn't now.

You sorted now?
I have an Acer 5920G, wireless is sort of automatic.
Little sod is always scanning for a connection.
