Beers and Planes...

I think I have done this before, but I can't remember.

Long story short, I'm flying out on Saturday and a mate has asked me to bring some english beers with me, as you can not pick some of these up in Sweden.

Would these be OK in my main luggage? I'm not worried about security, I'm sure that is fine. But would the lack of air pressure cause them to go buck wild in the suitcase during transit? Or would they just come out at the other end on the brink of exploding?

No, it'll be fine, did similar a few years back with no problems.

Stick them in a plastic bag, main thing to worry about is it getting knocked about by baggage handlers etc..

He is in love with the watery piss that is Carling... Can't stand the stuff myself. So I'll be taking those.

And a selection of others if you guys could recommend anything??? I'm more of a Carlsberg man, but that being a Danish beer, wouldn't impress him terribly!

I took a 24 of Tennants to Houston with no problems, I put them in a hard suitcase with clothes to give a bit of protection from the baggage handlers.

Why not take some of your locally sourced beers with you as a gift? Just take some of the lighter coloured beers that you can find in your local sainsburys that are brewed from your part of the world. They'll look a bit classier than the carling pisswater too.

Plenty of Irish pubs around Gothenburg, so Guinness is 10 a penny.

Locally brewed stuff is a fantastic idea though!!! I will hit Waitrose tonight as I recall they had some pretty good local stuff going!

That is a lot of troubole for Carling.

Why not take an empty bottle, piss in it when you get there,and say its in an unmarked bottle for security reasons.


Or take some London Pride, Spitfire etc to show him we can make decent beer
