I really think you should be allowed to. That little girl chose not to undertake masses more of operations on her heart and die in peace at home, I fail to see how this is different. If the person deemed clinically sane then why not. Better regulated than not and putting caring people in prison.

I think my posts on the subject have been read several times on here so I won't rant on this topic yet again.
If you are terminally ill, then you should be allowed to die here, in this country, without having to fly out to Switzerland and face the possibility that your family, the people who know and love you, may be prosecuted on their return.
I think what is stopping legislation is that it would have to be very carefully written to make sure there are no loopholes and to prevent it being abused. I think some people in parliament think that is FAR too difficult, it's not like they're being paid to write the laws or run the country or anything.

I 100% back anyone who is in such a painful position to determine their fate. It is unnatural and wrong to prevent someone from such a decision so long as it is the right circumstance.

as long as the person who wants to die is of sane mind and is making the choice freely- but if they are awake and concious, then it shouldn't happen
i think only if that person was in a permanent and vegatative state
there's a lot of moral issues surrounding this, and it won't be solved overnight.
but in the meantime - I respect that mans decision, but i don't want to watch it

I didn't realise he had MND either. Actually that probably would have put me off watching the show if I had remembered it was on. My Grandad had MND and watching him die from it was horrible. But, he does seem to have a reasonable quality of life at this moment in the film.

He lost everything he enjoyed, his cars, his guns, his independence, all of it gone, because a small part of his brain just couldn't work properly any more.
On the 27th of November is was two years to day that he died. Do you know how much has changed in the world of MND in those 2 years? Nothing. Zero. Zilch. f
k all. Research in to it is badly funded because it is too "rare" for pharmaceutical companies to make a profit off any drugs that may be developed.I get very angry when I talk about it so I'm going to stop now.
