hi all...

I'm in need of a rather large picture frame.. 1380x800mm.. which means it'll probably have to be custom made (?)

Anybody have any good links/ides/expereince of somewhere that'll do this that won't cost a fortune?

doesn'y need to be anything special.. just a wooden square frame type thing.....

thanks,

ipwn

Do it yourself, all you need is piece of wood and then make 4 mitre joints.

Ask any timber suppliers ( yellow pages ) for some MDF vaneered or whatever to cut you up 4 mitre joints to make a frame to your size.

Try this place;

Custom Picture Frames

They aren't the easiest things to make yourself to a good standard.

I use a local shop (in Bristol) and it's surprising how cheap framing is.

I've had a few made over the years. Picture frames seem to be something that are very hard to find online unless you want standard clip frames. There isn't a whole lot of choice and very few options on size. There are a handful of places that do custom sizes, but when I was looking they all seemed to charge an absolute fortune. There is Ikea, but they sizes they do never seem to match anything that I have needing framing.

I then tried the Yellow Pages and found a couple of places local to me that would do exactly what I wanted for much, much less money (think £30 rather than £250).

thanks guys...

will try some local places... as mentioned above, the resources of hte internet seem to have failed this requirement (unless, as uriel says, you want to pay >£150).
