Deflation is the new buzz word on the block.

Prices are going to drop big time in the coming months (apparently), yet The Scotish tt still blames other people/things.

He had the power over the past year to reduce fuel taxes to compensate the huge rise in crude (the biggest contribution to the prices rising), but didn't. Instead he become a greedy .

Now crude has plumetted, and with it all kinds of prices, he's on about cutting other taxes to spur the economy on. Too little too late?

The World hasn’t seen this sort of national mismanagement since someone said “Hey Monty, let’s show these Spanish chaps our cave full of shiny yellow metal.”

It's an excuse for him to print shed loads of crisp new fivers and spend even more of our Children's inheritance.

Yes he is a tt! The fact he's Scottish has nothing to do with the fact. Oh yeah, and get a dictionary! Others might take you more seriously if you'd learn to spell correctly!

These posts are a little tiresome. A lot of other countries are having a lot worse time than we are.

Gordon Brown has been in power very little time. He is not the best PM by a long shot.

But why does everyone have to blame him for things out of his control.

Crime up...Gordon Brown
Social Service fk up...Gordon Brown
Someone farted.....Must of Been Brown

I think you must be a little naive to think he has that much influence on these things.

He was Chancellor of the Exchequer for a decade and claimed credit for all good things in the economy over that decade. He was the second most senior member of, and now leads, a government that has been in power for the last 11.5 years. He is therefore responsible for the state of the country in general. He claims great advances against crime. Figures emerge that show this to be rubbish. He is responsible along with his rotten party.

I think it was his 10 years or so as chancellor that made everyone think he was a tt! At some point in those years he must have thought to himself 'If I keep raising taxes, eventually things will come falling down'

Am I right in saying it was his benefits system that allocated the alcoholics favorite benefit? where they get more of hard working people's taxes to pay for their drink, all so they can spend even more of it when their liver finally decides they have been enough of a wasteful and they end up in hospital on a liver transplant list they should have no entitlement to!

Which ones?

None in the G20.

Gordon Brown taxed us to the hilt for 10 years in No 11, and fuelled growth with credit rather than prudent fiscal policy.

Just wait until we have 6million unemployed (2.7 disability, plus the projected 3 million on the dole), and we still have to support umpteen million Civil Service non-jobs, and then tell how great we are.

He makes Mugabe look like a prudent economic leader.

There's a difference between being accountable and being responsible. Mr Brown might not be completely responsible, but as the PM, he is accountable for the current crisis.

I think a lot of people are upset that Mr Brown has done nothing to mitigate what may have been an inevitable "correction." Instead he has pursued policies that have made the situation worse. He kicked the electorate whilst he's down!

If you're not going to contribute to the thread, then feck off off and stop being a keyboard warrior.
