Ted got took in good and proper. As did a few of us. I fondly remember a pub lunch near Silverstone at the time where the topic was discussed amid raised voices....
Long story short; he joined PH, claimed to own many very key cars (including a Mc F1 I believe).
When he had difficulty continuing his story his "wife" joined and said he had died.
All of it waas totally untrue.
I think it's a shame because, as a result, people are very scepticle of anyone who joins now - especially if they own some pretty rare/expensive cars.
