Weekend Break!!! Where to go

Want to take the mrs away fro a weekend break for her birthday any recomendation? we do have an infant though!

Ive thought about Edinburgh, London (west end) and Dublin

Can anyone recomend any spa hotel etc

I recently had a nice weekend away with my other half near Whitby. We stayed in a little B+B on the moors, and used that as a base to have a nice bimble around the area (just stay away from the Goathland!)
Stunning scenery, great roads, would definatly go there again.

Yorks a great place for a weekend - compact enough to not need a car and plenty of decent pubs and stuff. Don't go to Yorvik, it's a rip-off

Can I recommend for hotel spa's the historic house hotels.

I know one in York I stay at for the races and is superb. Also one in North Wales and one down in Bucks.
