Superbad, Layer Cake, Casino, Taxi Driver, Scarface, Carlito's Way, US Marshalls.

Watched them all in the last week or so, not too bad being Credit Crunched sometimes

Just looking through the hard drive and, although some aren't that recent, I've enjoyed..

V for Vendetta - Missed this when it first came out, fantastic film.
Doomsday - Post-apocalyptic nonsense, I liked it!
Traitor - Post 9/11 terrorism
Fight Club - Again missed this when it came out but very good.
In Bruges - Another vote for possible film of the year
Tropic Thunder - If only for Tom Cruise
3:10 to Yuma - Cowboy stuff
Wanted - James McAvoy/ Angeline Jolie..worth a watch.
Bank Job - Good Brit gangster flick
Eagle Eye - Espionage type thingy
Felon - Prison drama
Loaded - College kid in with the wrong crowd drama.
Man on Fire - An old one but a must see.
Crank - Usual Jason Statham fun.

Thank you all...I have just added 6 films, including In Bruges,Dark Knight and The Machinist. In Bruges looks great...never even heard of it, but I'm no film buff!

Im sure the OH will be pleased to hear that for the nest 6 weeks she will be watching my choice of films!

I watched 28 weeks last night.

OMFG what a waste of celluloid.

Not a film but a TV series, just watched all of Californication Season 1 (stuffed my back up so all i can do is stare up at a laptop screen!!!)

Don't know if its been shown in the UK but brilliant David Duchovney at his best!!! Gonna have to try and hunt down season 2 now!!!

ETA he drives the most beaten up and filthy 964 Cab ever ... actually makes the drop-top look cool!!!

Not often I would say this and being a red blooded male, I was surprised I thought it at the time, but that film was too violent. 28 Days was a film masterclass, 28 Weeks was just ste!

Absolutely.

The two scenes that really went OTT were the husband pushing his wife's eyes into her head and the helicopter lawn mower. To far by far IMO.


There's something not quite right about watching Hamish Macbeth pushing his wife's eye's into her head with his thumbs.

I bought that recently, fantastic series!

On the film front, some recent blu-ray additions - Ironman, Deja Vu, Layer Cake, I Am Legend, Jumper, Hulk (new one). All really good.

Anyone know if L.O.T.R or Star Wars will ever be coming out on blu-ray??
