Just been at our general printer looking for a schematic I'd printed off so could scrawl some revisons on it. Anyway noticed a series of mails being printed off by some dopy twunt which were ahead of mine in the print queue, which was possibly the real crime. I digress.

Anyway said mails consisted of, and I forget how many pages now, a fricking lot anyway, but the % of said mails which was actually valid content was scarily small. Page after page of this to/fro communication consisted of email signatures.

You know the sort of crap I'm talking about:-

Please consider the environment before printing this mail. Together with a little dinky picture of a tree.
Then if you have recived this email in error bla di bla.
Followed by
This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential bla di bla for endless repetitive paragraphs which seem to have been regurgitated and added to the bottom of each successive transmission.

Except that the said exhortations about environment and confidentiality were not just in English but in what appeared to be every fricking language in the EU, including Gaelic and Welsh ffs!!!

WTF!!!!!!!???????

Holy fk.

If that's what you have to contend with working in an office you deserve a fking medal.

I could not do that (printing st off, photocopying, etc.) for all the tea in China.

This signature is made of recycled pixels, and no new ones were harmed whilst displaying this silly message smile

Mate of mine sells video conferencing solutions, in his email footer it says

'Please consider the environment by not printing this email and perhaps, rather than flying, consider a video conferencing suite'

Made me laugh.
