Keep getting issues with copy protected porgrams and films that we record to sky+ and then burn to DVD later - no issues in doing this for years until about 2 weeks ago.

It appears that Sky are copy protecting many of their channels now.

It's not the discs we use or the sky+ box or the DVD recorder, it's an issue with the source (copy protected).

Anyone else had this issue?

Look at http://www.avforums.com/forums/sky-sky/

There's a lot of stuff about it there. That will make you gloomy.

Thanks for this.

I found this info.:-

There are a large number of reports of similar problems recording from Sky boxes to DVD recorders recently on the Digital Spy Forums - here
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?...

It appears to be a bug that has either been introduced into the broadcast change or a bug within some recent software upgrade. It appears that the DVD recorders are interpreting some signal within the broadcasts as Macrovision protection.

Appears to be a "macrovision" copyright protection issue.

Seems daft that you can copy to the Sky+ box but are not allowed to archive it onto DVD.

Hope this doesn't happen with Wheeler Dealers and Overhaulin! frown
