I have recently bought a big brake upgrade for my car.

Bought from a private person, he decided to send them via Royal Mail.

As they were heavy he seperated into two parcels, calipers and discs.

I arrived home last night to find the box of calipers on the doorstep - in full view of any anyone wandering past (drive is only 30ft or so)

At least I got them I suppose.

Today I hear the letter box and see a note saying 'While tyou were out'

I open the door postie is wandering off...

"I'm in" I say

"Well the package is big and heavy so I didn't actually bring it you'll have to ring the depot"

WTF !!! So they don't ACTUALLY deliver parcels then ?

So I call the No. after the usual stupid announcements and menus it rings out then cuts you off automatically after 5 mins.

Right so I call the complaints No. it does the same fking thing !

OK - I'll do it online.

Manage to rebook (well actually book as there is no 're' involved) then get an Email to say that'll be done on the 20th ! WTF 7 days to bring the parcel 2 miles ?

So call the complaints No. off the website.

He takes the details and says he'll call back... 4.02 and still no call.

How fking useless are these people ?

Has anyone had any success / got any DIRECT numbers to speak to someone who is a bit less useless ?

I really can't believe they run the business like this.

How militant is she? Does she like a stamp on the package?

Absolutely one of the worst companies in existance today. They have caused me immense hassle over the last few months ranging from taking multiple payments from web purchases, failing to deliver a parcel (leaving it at the post office down the road, not giving me a card, post office immediately sent it back to my girlfriend, card telling me where the parcel was received several days after she had already got it back - it was Special fking Delivery as well), lots of post going missing, some important legal documents, memory cards and all manner of other hateful activities that have made me wish that they go out of business, so I won't be forced to use their pathetic services ever again.

Royal Mail. Just when you think they're going to improve, they fail to push the envelope.

ParcelFarce aren't any better - I've been waiting all day for a parcel posted yesterday on ParcelFarce 24, it was picked up at 1pm yesterday, so 24 hours from that should be 1pm today, it's still not here.

I phoned ParcelFarce to be told "it's on the delivery wagon for today" and that was it. Well duh, I can check that from the tracking number - what it also says is that it was received into the local depot at 2am, and out for delivery at the exact same minute.

That doesn't sound right to me...

Either way, I've wasted a day so far sitting jumping at any knock or letter box movement when I could have been doing a lot of other stuff that I really have to do.

If it's not here within 1hr 15 mins, I'm going to go ballistic at their "customer service" people...

No, leave them a card telling them you have a parcel for them and that they were out when you tried to deliver it. When they turn up to collect it, make sure you are out. Send them another card. When they turn up, charge them £15 unpaid delivery charge and hand them a badly damaged and crushed box with one of your turds hanging out of the one end.

Royal Mail once left me a note to say they'd tried to deliver something.
I went to the sorting office and it wasn't there.
I went back the next day and it still wasn't there.
They called the postie and he didn't know where it was.
I went back the next day and they said the postie had lost it between my house and the van. My front drive was approx 4ft long.
They asked me to fill in a claim form. I had to state what the parcel was and the value.
I DON'T KNOW, I DIDN'T SEND IT, SOMEONE SENT IT TO ME.

Useless, useless fecks. If they didn't have a monopoly they'd have been out of business years ago.
