I suffer from these from time to time, i currently have one on my bottom lip. my question is, is has anyone used that new bonjela stick thing and did it work?

If it was cheap i wouldnt bother asking as i'd rather put up with the discomfort than spend £8 on one aplication.

If anyone has a cheaper solution, please share.

I get these all the time and they tend to be big 'orrible ones that hurt alot!

I've found that Bonjela doesn't work too well for me and I really don't like the taste. I've used a product called 'Frador' which acts like a sealant for the ulcer. It hurts like buggery when you put it on but it does last a while and you can eat things like biscuits without worrying about the crumbs getting into the ulcer.

I looked into what cause ulcers and was quite suprised to find that nobody really knows. I just put up with mine!

I used some Bonjela stuff a while back for a mouth ulcer and it cleared it up overnight!!! Literally almost no trace of it in the morning.

Plus it tastes like Sambuca.... It's win-win if you ask me! hehe

You're crazy!!!

There are some pastille sweets that always worked for me, but I can't remember the name at the moment. Will have a think.

Thats probably why i have one.

I was talking about this:

Salt does nothing apart from hurt like buggery and taste well like salt. Bongela in the normal tube form tastes allright hurts like hell and does nothing.

Best solution is prevention - make sure they wear a condom.

+1. It feels like hades has been unleashed into your mouth but it clears the ulcer up quickly.

I believe they are caused by the oral pleasuring of penises. The solution is therefore to stop.

For some daft reason I get volcanic ones under my tongue..... hmmm, nice eh ladies...!
These are particularly unpleasant and make me sound even more like a 'mong' when speaking and make eating a very painful experience!

At first I usually find a quick dab with some salt and then rinsing with a salt/water mix gets rid of them eventually.

Have you seen your doctor about them? It could be herpes.

Apologies if that sounds a bit harsh but a lass at work has suffered with something on her mouth for a few weeks which turned out to be herpes after a visit to the doctor. Might just be worth you having a check up to make sure it isn't something more sinister.

Being serious and penises aside, this did occur the day after some action with the wife, so oral plesuring women can be added to the list.
