5. Reasons to leave present employer -
6. Joining time if you do well in interview.
7. Current Project Status....
8. Current CTC

Cheers for the help,
Dupont.

Speaking as a recruitment consultant myself (albeit the least stereotypical one possible) I can tell you that this is a rubbish e-mail where the consultant is just being lazy. They will take your responses, log them onto their systems, and mailshot your cv around to any company on their system that has ever recruited for anyone with your sort of experience. This MIGHT get them an interview request amongst dozens of Just got a vauge email through which im replying to and got these questions:

"Please SOD OFF! WE are NOT recruiting and don't want your services!"
responses. Then they will triumphantly call you to say either
"Look how good I am and how clever I've been towards earning the £5000 fee and all my lovely commission, I used my specialist knowledge and extensive contact network to seek out the perfect position for you! Love me, love me, love me!"
Or, if they don't get any interview requests, they'll keep your details on record and repeat at regular intervals.
If you get a phone call, they will ask where else you have been interviewing, as then they can call those companies to try to get them to use their services. They WILL and regularly DO call crap candidates (no inference) purely to find out where they've been applying to and interviewing - the rest of the converation can be a considered a complete ruse.
FWIW I do not do these things. I used to be a Head of Online Marketing, and I used to get bugged by crappy recruiters calling me every day or sending loads of CVs that were completely irrelevant. I HATE recruitment consultants, and became one so I could screw them at their own game by actually understanding my clients and my marketplace.

4. Self-rating out of 10:
What kind of a dumb ass question is that?!
'Well if I lost a bit of weight I'd probably be an 8 but after a few beers I'm usually a 9.5!'
I know we shouldnt tar them all with the same brush - there are some excellent ones on here - but this kind of work ethic does feck all for recruitment consultants.

Nope, not really. I have no idea if my particular specialism is relevant to the OP, and don't feel the need to ask. I have straggly long hair (a carry over from my years as a snowboarding instructor) and have only been recruiting for a month or two. I am not the snooty, big watch wearing Mini Cooper driving berk you're thinking of.
