Stag Weekend in Frankfurt

Good morning all.

After quite some time lurking I feel I finally have something worth posting about. Fingers crossed I won't let myself down and leave myself open to the wrath of Pistonheads.

Here goes....


I am in the process of arranging a stag weekend to Frankfurt. Although we would like to some of usual 'stag stuff' the last thing I want is to look like a bunch of British idiots abroad (I hope no one is offended by that but I'm sure you know the types). As a result I can't even contemplate speaking to a travel company that does Stag Packages.

Flights and hotel will be booked separately and we are looking to go Thursday through Monday towards the end of May '09. If anyone has had a good experience with a hotel please feel free to point me in the right direction.

What I'd like to know is if anyone can point me in the direction of Paintballing, Go-Karting or anything else that would be suitable for a group of about 10 in or relatively near to Frankfurt. Any suggestions or experiences appreciated.

I suspected this might be the case and it certainly wouldn't be my choice of destination (that would be Budapest). A couple of the guys in the group want to go there just to go to Cocoon. That still leaves 3 days & nights that need filling.

I think I may need to try a little harder to talk them out of it.

Cocoon@U60311 is a bizarre place, music is good but it's not exactly in the middle of anywhere interesting.

Find somewhere else to go.

Very strange destination, wouldn't have thought anywhere in Germany would be good for a stag weekend, not even Berlin. You could pay a visit to Nuremberg as it's only about 40 miles from Frankfurt and march up and down for a bit.

Rent a couple of cars and head to the nurburgring, only 2 hour drive north from frankfurt....

I went to a stag weekend in Hamburg and had a great time.

This is probably the best bet. Paintballing and karting are available nearby. Hanauer Landstrasse has the better clubs. There are some appalling ones in town. Cookies is open all night, but is just abysmal.
