age and manflu
Discussion
everyone knows how serious an illness manflu can be, but at what age can children catch it?
is it age 18, or is it more to do with when a man leaves home and starts to stand on their own two feet?
all the males in our house have a bad cold like ailment (clearly I have manflu and am unable to do anything whatsoever) but the children have most of the same symptoms - could they possibly have the same thing?
debate...

They just have a cold and will be cared for by your other half, she will be too busy looking after them to notice you or your symptoms which will be worse because you have man flu.
I have it at the moment intend to sit on the sofa for 2 days feeling sorry for myself, be ok by the weekend.

Indeed.
I've had loads of colds, chills, manflu's etc but in August this year finally succumbed to the proper flu aged 47.
Initial hit was for 2 weeks of nothingness (and a 12 pack blister of ineffectual NHS antibiotics) but the after effects kept me off work for a month.
Then after flying back to france came down with severe ear infection (on descent into Toulouse, that was "fun") which took £185 worth of prescriptions to finally sort out!!
My advice.....Take the Jab!!

185 quid of prescriptions! no way. Which country do you live in? thats rediculous, glad I live in a country where the government takes care of you with free medicine. I remember those days where you had to pay.I've had loads of colds, chills, manflu's etc but in August this year finally succumbed to the proper flu aged 47.

I've only once had real flu, and I couldn't walk for 11 days. My joints had swollen so painfully and the fever/headaches sent me insensible. I lay in bed, virtually dead, for over a week.
Whenever I have a cold now, I may take a day or two off work, depending how hard I am hit, but I never claim it was flu.
Thing is, I had flu in mid-Summer, aged around 31.
