Down one side of my house, I have an alleyway, approx. 3ft wide x approx. 30ft long.
Its fenced off at the front of the house so only accessible from the garden end.
Could I turn it into a Sauna? Ive seen build-it-yourself "shed" type sauna kits on the net, and wondered if I applied the smae principle to my alley, would it work?
e.g. tongue and groove wood everywhere, the heater at one end, some wodden benches, etc?

Cheers

Sounds like a recipe for either a large fire, or some serious gimcrackery unless you know what you're doing!

3ft wide?
By the time you've timber clad both sides your guna be looking at more 2.5 ft wide!
Why not just put a shed in your back garden and make that a sauna?

I think at 3ft wide you're going to be a bit cramped!!

Not exactly rocket science though- hot pumice stones, water, towels.

That was my first thought, but if I put the "heater" at the far end, i could put the bench all down one side?

you'll want the bench to be at least 18 inches wide to be comfortable - 18 inches to walk down before you put the timber cladding and support structure, so make that 12 inches...

You could just sit next to the heater in the local swimming pools changing rooms and stare at other men there?

Once the novelty has wore off it'll be rubbish... Same with a hottub frown

Good bragging rights down the local though!

Clad your airing cupboard, throw away the boiler.
Put in a sauna heater in there.
