Why save water?
Discussion
I understand about other "green" issues, and even have green business interests, but I don't see why water is such a big deal to the green lobby. I guess there's energy to clean and pump it around, and if I lived in an area where water was scarce then it would make sense, but why are we being pressured into putting bricks in our cisterns in the UK?

If you live in the south of the UK particularly then water is (periodically) scarce, for the reasons mentioned above. The point about it helping the water cos to (not) deal with their leaks is a good one, but since they'd only charge the consumers to fix the leaks anyway maybe it's the least painful option.
