Hello,

I appear to have caught a cold type thing from my housemate. Symptoms are, hurts to swallow, like my tonsils or back of nose is sore. I'm using Listerine to sort that out.
I've also got a tickly, but sometimes chesty cough. Blocked nose etc, back of nose hurts when I try and 'hawk' it.

I need to be back to 100% ASAP, so what medication can I go and get from Tescos, to dose myself to the eyeballs. Got nothing planned today, so it can make me woozy, provided I am better tomorrow.

hehe

Maybe some of that ultra strong Convonia, for throat / chest. And minty vapour to clean nose? Doesn't that open up your pores and make it worse though?

My cure for man flu:

Stay in bed
TV and Playstation
Drink gallons of water, tea and orange juice
Toasted sarnies
Steaming hot showers to losen up my nose and chest
Vics Vapour rub on hand...if its really bad a dollop of that in a bowl of steaming water and then get your head over it under a towel and inhale deeply
Menthol sweets to keep the nose clear and to help with the sore throat
The strongest pain killers the chemist will give you

I always find it does me more good to blow my nose rather than the 'sniff 'n' swallow' technique.

Sounds like a case of the bad aids tbh.

Won't be long now.

You really should stop pushing those q-tips when you feel resistance.

[Quack] Mmmm.....yes, but the patient mentions a 'tickly cough'. It could very well be the good aids.

Yes, I believe it's the good aids.

Won't be long now.[/quack]

Q-tip?

-Cotton bud.

Or do you go to a 'leee-shure centre' and put 'erbs on your 'toe-fu'?

Sorry. Your post reeks of America.
