how many calories does the body burn doing aboslutly nothing??

Varies from person to person.

There is a test you can pay for, to find out your bmr but I cant remember its name, but its quite expensive.

I just ate a huge plate of chips and two creame cakes (they were going out of date today you understand) I should think an hour typing away on PH should be enough to burn it off.

I'm guessing about a thousand a day. However the brain is very active (dreaming etc) when asleep and very inactive when watching TV. So, If you fall asleep, expect to lose weight!
