Recently ran coax from the Sky box downstairs to the bedroom TV and added a magic eye to control sky box etc. Works fine.

Just added a signal booster which has improved the picture quality no end - but the magic eye doesn't work now! Any ideas?

Did you actually buy a booster that is compatible with the magic eye?

I'm guessing you didn't know such a thing existed.

I see in your near future a trip back to shop to exchange your booster biggrin

magic eye needs 5V dc i think which is also carried on the coax, your booster will be killing the 5V...HTH

Have a look on some av forums, they're very susceptible to interference, the booster may be buggering things up.
The one I put in would only work randomly.
In the end I gave up and bought a wireless one instead and it works a treat!
Maplin have got a good range of them.

Never been able to see these, still dont believe they work. More of an "in joke" at school to seem popular.

You need an amp with a DC pass through. I'm surprised you need a booster, if the cable is only going upstairs then you should not need one, I would check your connections first.
