I have Mrs GMan down with me in london this week and was going to have a wonder up here tonight.

Does the bar get that full, was going to get some food there but don't want to book into the restaurant.

It can get very very busy, but if you get into the conservatory and grab a seat you should be ok to get served - good chips in a bucket there.

Personally, I think it's overpriced for what it is (used to live nearby).

Go one over to Wapping and either try Bordellos or (if its booked out, which it probably is) go upstairs at the Captain Kidd. Nice food, decent wine, good beer and a lovely view if you get a window seat.

IMHO.

I remember being open-mouthed with astonishment at how much they charged for a pint of lager and a bowl of soup. Food's ok, overpriced.

Might just get lashed in Canary Wharf and grab some food down here.

Maybe The Gun.

I used to live in Vantage Mews, just next to The Gun. Happy days.

I've been promising myself to attend a City Drinks session, just have not got around to it.

Maybe the next one as I don't think Mrs GMan would be up for it as I've hardly seen her for the last month.
Plus I have ended up in the office all day, when I was supposed to be finishing early to take her shopping.
