I need a new work coat.

Does anyone know of a smart looking coat (ie fairly traditional, long, dark coat) which has been made from modern materials? The ones I have bought in the past have either been wool (warm but like wearing a bath towel in the rain) or some kind of waterproofed cotton (not totally waterproof, and cold as fook).

I want something which looks totally anonymous but is Goretex (or similar). Does such a thing exist? The usual suspects for proper waterproof/walking gear don't seem to do anything - does anyone?

I dont mind spending a few quid as I walk to work every day.

Pisses the Pharoe off and no mistake. How I love that coat of many colours...

Burtons?

You've not seen what's under the poncho - where do you think he keeps his gun?

+1. get a trench. doesn;t have to be a super expensive one, just keep it treated with water repellant [spray can stuff].

Been very pleased with it, but was quite pricey.

Gucci have a Seal skin coat in their mens winter collection. Probably as close you will get to whale skin.
