there's a pie pub in Charlotte St (just the other side of Soho Sq) - can't remember what it's called but it's very close to Rathbone St
massive selection of pies, you need to book to get a table
Newman Arms??massive selection of pies, you need to book to get a table
if not the Marquis of Granbury (excuse the spelling) is a great pub with a good selection of food

Thursday nights in Soho are usually busy and you dont really get gastropubs. the Endurance on Berwick Street is not too bad
Not too bad for a cheeky Friday night beer out in the alley, but I would hardly class it as the kind of place to go for a sit-down meal on a Thursday.Dave200 said:

Its a leaving do for our secretary.
We are picking up the tab, and boss likes a beer so want something not too stuffy, mid range in terms of price with places to go to the boozer after. So, Gastropub ideal.
Have booked Cafe Boheme as a backup.

I think Cafe Boheme is your best bet - plenty of pubs nearby (but aviod the ones on the same street as Cafe Boheme
