Sterling value- whats your prediction?

Have a lump sum to transfer at some point and now not sure when 
Well there are rumors of big rate cuts coming & the trend will be reduced BoE rates - that means that sterling will decrease in value vs x currency where they are not cutting their rates or not cutting them by the same margin.
As to when to sell/trade?? Who knows you could hedge your bets i.e. tfr x amount now to crystalise the current downward trend and if rates go in reverse/up you are only taking the hit for a lessr amount likewise if rates continue to fall then you'll only take the hit on what you traded early.
