Afternoon Drinks in York

..it's right on the river ouse, next to the bridge and in the middle of town. it also does good bar food and the beer is exceedingly cheap, yet good quality as it's a Sam Smiths pub.

ETA: it's also only about 5 minutes walk from the station

Blue Bell and Stone Roses.
Brigantes, top of Micklegate
The Ackhorne – just off Micklegate, near the bottom
The Maltings, by Lendal Bridge
The Golden Ball – can’t remember the street, but turn right out of the Ackhorne, and keep walking in a straight line, you can’t miss it.
Any of the York Brewery pubs – Yorkshire Terrier on Stonegate is probably the best
Golden Fleece on Stonebow
Old White Swan on Stonebow
Tap & Spile, just outside Monk Bar
The York Brewery has a pub over it – halfway up Toft Green. It’s sometimes shut for a private do though.
Masons Arms – bottom of Coppergate, across the road from the new Wetherspoons
Brigantes, top of Micklegate

seconded the old white swan, but don't you mean the mucky duck? Brigantes, top of Micklegate
