keep time with no power going through them?
wondering this this morning as i turned on the coffee machine thats been away to be repaired - they have had it for 3 weeks , so very little time plugged in over that peiod, but when i plugged it back in this morning, clock came on , time and settings all correct....now it has no internal back up batteries ( at least none that need changing) so how does it keep the correct time?) is there likely to be a small reservebattery somewher in there - or just witchcraft?

Have you never wondered how your PC still knows the time and date even after having been switched off for a week when you're on holiday?wondering this this morning as i turned on the coffee machine thats been away to be repaired - they have had it for 3 weeks , so very little time plugged in over that peiod, but when i plugged it back in this morning, clock came on , time and settings all correct....now it has no internal back up batteries ( at least none that need changing) so how does it keep the correct time?) is there likely to be a small reservebattery somewher in there - or just witchcraft?

Why the hell does a coffee machine need a clock?
so i can set the timer so when i get up in the morning its all pre brewed and warmed up so all i have to do is press a button to select the size of coffee....yes, its a complete boys toy...but makes very nice coffee....Edited by funinthesun on Friday 24th October 10:59
