flights to luxembourg??

anyone know of a direct flight other than london? as close to north lincs. as possible if you can. only thing i've found locally is klm out of humberside, which goes via amsterdam and thus takes 5.5hrs!

the answer is no. all flights go via amsterdam schiphol unless you fly from london.

so next question:

i am trying to wrangle a cheap weekend in the dam. if work book me a return to luxembourg leaving on sunday, the return leg goes from lux to ams around 6pm and does the ams-uk leg around 9pm.

can i book my own ticket from lux to ams. for friday evening, then simply turn up at schiphol on sunday night and use my return ticket for the uk leg only?

multi-leg ticket costs an arm and a leg but work don't mind booking the return for sunday as its the same price.

No.
If you fail to show for the outbound leg of a return, then the rest of the itinerary will be cancelled.

how about if i do turn up for the lux-ams leg but not the 2nd one, then sort my own flight to the uk for sunday?

i'd only have hand luggage and, iirc, schiphol doesn't have an enclosed transit area, but would i be able to leave the airport?

yeah london-lux is the only direct route from the uk.
