Definitely taking the plane, we've heard the boat takes quite a long time.

We took US Dollars. That was fine.

We were all inclusive tho, so that was just for tips and souvenirs.

Take some wetsuit boots for paddling - coral sand is gritty in the lagoons!

Oh I don't know, we were back again the following year for the honeymoon. Coincided with her 30th (she had a real thing about being married before 30). Most expensive fortnight of my life.

You don't really need cash anyway, except for tips at then end of your holiday. Generally speaking, as the resorts are on an isolated island, all the spas, shops, dive schools etc are all part of your resort and added to your bill. We took a few dollars with us for a day trip to Male or an inhabited island, but other than that, your wallet will remain in the darkness of your room safe the whole time. Tips are paid at the end in a whack rather than every meal (if you feel sufficiently well looked after) so you won't need many greenbacks.

Apparently, the chamber maids greatly appreciate nice soaps and shampoos left as little gifts as they can't get them there!

Have a great time there, I'm still blown away by the place and am longing to go back.

Are you having a water bungalow? They look great. We had the choice of going in January or getting some modifications done to the car. I had to have a word with him indoors about his priorities. After a nice fillet steak and a bottle of his favorite wine i made him see sense. We need more horsepower.

Men heyrolleyes
