Going for honeymoon - when best to go?
Discussion
Having decided on a short break, the wife and me are postponing our honeymoon until next year to allow finances to recover. Not having booked many holidays away, I seek a little advice as to when, if at all, there is a better time to book.
The period after the New Year seems a no-brainer - unless this has been pre-empted by the airlines and all the others in the industry, right down to the man on the street in Fiji who makes his living from tourists.
The destination, though yet to be decided, is likely to be in South Pacific or Far East.
Appreciate any thoughts.

We married in October, and wanted to go to the Indian Ocean- chose Sri Lanka in the end, we held off til February though so we could get the best of the weather as October was monsoon season.
It was very nice to have a honeymoon to look forward to rather than it be all in one go- I think minds need time to process memories of important times in your life. It was also nice to get home in March and have the summer still to look forward to
Having said that, going back to work 3 days after getting married was a bit weird.
