Giant smiling egg - M62 - Saddleworth

[Orb the Impaler]

Has anyone else who takes the M62 over Saddleworth noticed (how could you miss it) that giant smiling egg (or whatever it is) in the field overlooking the A672 and the reservoir?

I like it, it brings a smile to my face, but I have no idea what it's about. Anyone know?

I noticed it last week, on the left.. just past junction 22 heading east....

Well I'd never have thought it was a fish, which explains why my Googles for "m62 giant smiley face" etc weren't working.

I actually saw them laying it out, so that video was cool to watch.

I remember many years ago myself and a few mates after a few beers in Marlborough decided that the big white horse carved into the hillside outside town needed to be a zebra.

Several drunken hours and i dread to think HOW many black bin bags later and we had our Zebra on the hillside.

I snapped a pic of this the other week on my way over the M62.

Was gonna ask on here what it was but never got round to posting it up.
