I am a big fan, I love genuine singers/voices as opposed to the feminist-voiced, pale, skinny rejects that pass as talent today. Real singers can actually sing without all of the techology.

That said, he has been to the plastic surgeon far too often!

I haven't seen a picture of him for years but I am guessing he looks like the doctor in the New U or whatever it was called in Logan's Run?

His is a couple of recent live shows (Spain & Wales). A 68 year old man doing 2 or 3 hour shows is pretty damn good, IMO. ETA: Some of the BEST backup singers.

He is one of the few things that makes being Welsh cool. This is the unofficial national anthem here in Wales, and hearing it at the Millenium stadium being sung by 80000 people is awesome

I can see how a large Welshman in black leather climbing onto your chest whilst singing 'Why why why Delilah' would be disconcerting, yes.

Camille O'sullivan was also on 'Later with Jools Holland' and she is welcome to climb onto my chest anytime.

Always loved "Green green grass of home" very moving song

Incidentaly, my step mum (Newport born and bred)quite often recites seeing him take his driving test around Cardiff centre (around the time he was just becoming a big star)

Well yes indeedy.

I'm a bit surprised you didn't mention being motorboated by Tom Jones on your profile MBH.

Some people would call that a 'claim to fame' whether they were willing participants or not.
