Moustache?

Handlebar Moustache?

Goatee?

Beard?

5-oclock shadow? (George Michael)

Side burns?

Do you ever try different styles such as a moustache, beard, gooatee etc...? Or are you too self conscious?

I alternate between the "haven't shaved for 3 days" look and the "just shaved" look.

The only guy in ZZ Top to not have a beard was called; Frank Beard.

Thank you.

Several times I have tried to grow a beard/moustache while away from home, like being offshore for a couple of weeks.

I always seem to go for the scruffy homeless tramp look which is quickly discarded when I return home.

Never trust a man with a beard.
Dont grow a goatee, looks like a minge on yer chin.

I do love men with good facial hair.

Once I worked with a woman that had a beard - literally. Personally I was not sure about her meeting our clients.

+1

Beards are for communists and university professors who wear grey socks with sandals.

There are exceptions - Antartic/Artic explorers and shipwrecked sailors should clearly be forgiven.

(Any anyone who grows just the tuft under the lower lip really shouldn't be allowed to live, frankly)

Up until last week I've been sporting "friendly mutton chops" with a "soul patch" but I now have just the moustache and side-burns, looking a bit like Morgan Spurlock but a little less clean shaven. While I had the "friendly mutton chops" I was genuinely mistaken for Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl) even though he only has a moustache, but I have to admit the similarity is quite strong.

Handy guide and inspiration here; http://www.dyers.org/blog/beards/beard-types/

Friendly mutton chops (though I have a lot more hair than this guy, and no glasses);

Morgan Spurlock;

Jason Lee

Actually, if you put the beard of the first picture with the hair of the last one, that's pretty much me. biggrin

Goatee for me.

Its only to make up for the lack of hair up top though.

I am incapable of growing any sort of substantial facial hair, so I just shave once every two weeks.

grew a big bushy 3-month beard over the summer (combined with my baldy head in a 'younger uncle albert' sort of style)
disturbing amounts of grey in there

trimmed back to a short 'van dyke' and shaved head combo

I started growing a goatee and then the whole Gary Glitter thing happened so I shave it off. I now have a moustache which amuses everyone as it's a bit RAF Wing Commander looking.

It may have to be chopped.

I only shave once a week, if I can be arsed. If I'm feeling exceptionally lazy, I only shave once every 4-5 months. Although I do get bald patches in my beard, so I end up looking a bit like a foolish tramp.

Monday = Clean shaven
Tuesday = 5 o'clock shaddow style stubble
Wednesday = Designer stubble
Thursday = Slightly longer designer stubble
Friday = Slightly longer still, desinger stubble
Weekend = Lazy tramp stlye gruff

Note* If I know I'm "going out" at any point, I'll normally have a tactical shave a day or two before to give me the "designer stubble" look when I'm out.
