share the wealth ! In hmv at the mo if you buy 2 selected albums you get a 15 squid i tunes voucher...some of the cd's are £7 each which means you get to buy 2 cd's and a 15 quider voucher for £14.. happy days ! unless you steal music from the interweb ...... heaven forbid !

Really?? I'm surprised that HMV would be promoting itunes rather than their own download store!!

I love the mantra that has risen from the dead about 'stealing music from the web'. I admit I have probably sucked the web dry when Napster first raised its head some 10 years ago, but there again when we ran a large mobile roadshow, we bought over ten thousand 12" singles at around £8 a pop.. god damned greedy record companies took us for everything in those days as there was no internet.

Funny how it turned around to bite them in the arse. Same as Microsoft really; if they hadnt charged £90 for their desktop OS, there wouldnt have been as many bent copies and half the virii we have to suffer today frown

I loved the idea of itunes but hate the way you cannot port it to other devices without hassle to its media player for me all the way.

Oh sorry, I don't doubt that you are telling the truth, but was more suprised at the deal, as itunes must surely be eating into HMV profits anyway! Thanks!
