Sky 3 now, "The Boy Who Will Never Grow"
"The story of nine-year-old Jack Bird, who suffers from Morquio's disease — a condition leaving him unable to grow. Told in the form of a video diary, the programme follows his daily life and a visit to meet a fellow sufferer, an adult woman standing at a little over three feet tall. His parents also explain the financial and emotional burden they bear as a result of their son's diagnosis."
I understand that these programmes are designed to pull at our heart strings, and then our attention is grabbed by something else and we bugger off and forget about it. But this one, for whatever reason, particularly resonates with me. Give it a go. Watch it. Reflect. And give your loved ones, especially your kids, a cuddle.
