went into the gateshead metro centre branch and bought a sofa bed.yes,i know it was only £89 but the greedy ba***rds added 70p credit card charge on the bill.they must be paying less than one per cent commission and they still have to have their pound of flesh!

Well that works out at 0.79% - so what's the problem?

I would rather have the option of avoiding their credit card fee than everyone having to pay it.

I would be much happier if everything in Tesco was 1% less than it is now and customers who pay by credit card paid an extra 1%.

I think CC commission is 3% (which is how the 'cash-back' cards can give you 1%). But, yes, cheeky as fook. Vote with your feet!

And go where exactly?

At least their crap is cheap. Same crap at an English furniture chain would be 2-3 times as much.
Kind of puts the 70p into some perspective.

You've just spent £89 and are complaining over .70p??

Lordy be.. I wish my clients would actually pay on time rather than flex their larger muscles and demand 60 or 90 day payment terms and then still be late....

True. £89.70 for a sofa bed is pretty cheap. But it is annoying; most retailers take the 'hit' because the convenience gets them the custom.

Its amazing how riled some people get when they see the real cost broken down for them.

If MFI sold beds delivered to your door for £200, and Ikea sold the same bed in store for £180, with a £20 optional delivery charge, would you complain at paying the £20?

You went to an Ikea?

Your own free choice?

It appears your head is fecked.

I think your next purchase should be a brand new V6 Alfa Romeo... not forgetting to tick every option on the list.... and make sure it's metallic brown.
