Aargh..... fking health and safety bds struck again at a small festival I was at in Spalding tonight. I was watching The Houndogs and they were pretty good for a local band, the drummer stood on the drum kit giving a great performance and the double bassist was climbing all over his instrument. All in all a very energetic performance. Part of the act involved setting light to the cymbal at the end of a song. It just flashed a bit and looked pretty good. No real drama, I've seen much more over the years.

Cue some yellow jacketed pulling the power and cutting their act short. I'd just like to say to Mr Rules Are Rules, I hope you feel pretty good about yourself spoiling the evening for something that conceivably might have but DIDN'T happen. You health and safety s are fking taking ALL the fun out of being alive. Yes, you deserved all the booing and jeering you got and much much more. You Sir are a spacktard and a of the very highest order.

Why don't you just FOAD, I hope your cock festers and the fleas of a thousand camels infest your anus.

Watch it.... iot seems our Rod got banned for far less.

However, I do concur. The only time I've ever seen a gig stopped was when my mate stage dived at a Nirvana concert at Leeds Poly. He broke his back and they had to clear everyone out whilst the paramedics came in with a spinal board.

I wouldn't mind too much, but the support band were L7 and their drummer had repeatedly jumped right onto my face. I was on a dead cert for the after gig party... instead I spent the next 8 hours in casualty, and the next 6 months visiting my best mate in a hospital bed.

Humbug.

Humbug? Bloody right... Get a fire extinguisher if necessary, but to pull an act everyone was enjoying was killjoy behaviour of the worse sort.

Life is dangerous if you live it properly, so what. Deal with it but have fun on the way.

I fking hate Health & Safety. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGH

Thank god for internet rants, I've lost my voice from booing the yellow jacketed tt.

It's entirely possible that the act's booking contract tied them in to not doing any of that st. Thus they got bundled off and sent home and their cheque put through the shredder.

Must admit, in my day of gig going that would never have happened. The stage would have been stormed, he would've been chucked in the pit, then trampled and likely everything would've carried on as before.

I agree... poor show!

fk, I've been to gigs where the lead singer jumped into the crowd, landed on me, I caught him on a fireman's lift, turned, ran all the way to the back and threw him onto the soundedesk! (Jesus Lizard, Manchester Boardwalk (circa 1990).

I was a good boy though, and went back afterwards and appologised to the sound engineer hehe

Mr Rammage has gone to a better place; one where Amanda Lamb is ducktaped to the floor of his van.
