Mortgage Advise
Discussion
Rather than go to comparethemortgage.com or the like where they're likely to ring you every 10 minutes, I thought I'd throw this out to the PH collective.
Probably not the right time to be considering a mortgage, but with all the decent tradesmen short of work at the moment I thought now may be a good time for doing the home and garden improvements that I've been planning, and hopefully save a few quid.
So, does anyone know where to find the best interest rate, no mortgage at the moment, 100% equity in the house, need in the region of 40 to 50K
Thanks in advance

email scotal, because of the fuucking ridiculous FSA morons pushing paper and spending 12 weeks on something designed to take 4, I have to wait another 2 weeks to get my consumer credit licence back
if you haven't done it in 2 weeks, email me
edited to relieve some pressure

Depending on your circumstances (and usual amounts help on deposit) consider offsetting combined with a lifetime BBR tracker - your 'deposit' is always secure from any bank defaults and with a relatively small mortgage that you have mentioned will have a great impact on rate savings. Furthermore, a smallish mortgage may not justify remortgage fees on shorter term deals, hence the 'lifetime' rate.
