Right folks.

Have a bit of quandry.

Me telly is going on the blink so I am looking at getting a new one.

I have a small room at the moment but will be looking at moving out in the near(ish) future. So I don't want to buy a small telly to fit in the room i'm in at the moment then buy a big one when I move out.

On the same stretch a massive telly would look silly in the room I have at the moment. So, what I was thinking was to have a projector, so it can move around with the room size.

Is this possible? Does the room have to be pitch black to see anything? Can they be used as a normal telly? etc etc etc...

Budget of £500-700 I suppose.

Why on earth do you want a rear projection set?

Get a flat panel.

Durr, you're on about a front projector, no, your budget will create nothing but st.

I doubt you'd get a good projection system for that budget.

Hey there,

I have a projector - it's alright with the curtains open. I use it for DVDs, I don't have a normal telly at all, nothing ever on. The guy I bought it off had it plugged into his TV to receive TV signals. I have a receiver box which is designed to be used with a computer monitor, which I could plug into my projector. But I have never used it as I have no desire to watch TV.

You want to spend as much as possible. My Epson was £1800 new about 2 1/2 years ago.

So what your saying it I should just buy a small 22 inch telly? will the quality really be that much better than a projector?
