Share dealing service - poor
Discussion
I have an account in
. Been trying to buy and sell shares ... what s
te. I would recommend people stay clear. I am leaving, website been down all morning, phone on hold for 35 mins. Luckily I am just looking to buy rather than get out. Although if I was looking to get out, I would be mega pissed.
They charge 11.95 for pressing a f
king button and they still don't have the power for "extraordinary volumes".. I'd get it if it was £4 a trade or something. Its a sharedealing service, what do they think is going to happen when the market starts to move, people are going to post in some requests for shares like its 1920?

Phew rant over...
Anyone know of a GOOD share dealing service I can transfer to?

To be honest, private share dealing services are never going to be the fastest or most efficient services. The costs are rock bottom, and trust me on this, the costs of the services they need to have in place to actually do this mean that at 10-20 quid a trade, you are at the bottom end of the market.
There are good ones around, but they are all going to be having trouble trading at the moment. Its a very volatile market and small scale traders take second fiddle to the large institutional ones - question of volumes and money involved.
I thought about it once, until I was involved in the planning and installation of a new trading floor for a bank. The systems they put in place were the best and it made anything else pale into insignificance. Gave up, which was probably a good thing as I would be crap at it....
