I could kick myself, then I could kick..

I am a tw4t
About three weeks ago I ran a training session at a clients site. Took and unloaded all my own kit as usual but they insisted I use their roof mounted projector which was rubbish but I smiled and got on with it.
Came to use my own projector tonight and I think I have left it in their training room having popped it to one side when they wanted me to use the built in system.
I could kick myself for being such a chump and not remembering I had taken it in, and kick them because no doubt they have found it and couldn't be bothered to try and track down who it belonged to (my businesscard is in the window under the flap).
It is their internal training facility used almost exclusively by their own trainers so I am hoping it is still sat in a corner.
Luckily I have an old steam driven Sanyo I keep because I am a serial chump.

I did something similar. Went to a customer seminar and the hosts wanted all presentations on their laptop so there wasnt a slowdown while presenters hooked laptops up.
Put my presentation onto a USB stick, put the laptop back in the bag and stashed it in the corner of the room. Left after lunch and got most of the way up the M40 before I realised.
They were quite good about it, and couriered it to my office. I didnt think to tell them I work from home and our office is further away from me than their conference suite, but it's the thought that counts.
