How much is it worth?
Discussion
Sarah Rutter is 101 years old, and suffers from dementia.
She is being cared for in a council home, which has 19 staff. The council wants to close down the home and move Sarah to another home. Sarah's family is opposed to this, saying that such a move will kill her.
Sarah is the last remaining resident of the home, which costs £7,400 per week to run.
A high court judge has ruled that she must be moved.
Should she be moved, irrespective of the family's wishes? Is the judge's decision correct?

Yes, of course she should. She doesn't own the joint, pay for the joint, and is just a patient, so why on earth should the world rotate at her beck and call?? Unless you're going to go private, you can't expect that changes to the provision of healthcare will be put on hold...

£7,400 a week! Someone need to seriously look into this utter waste of money.
And I know that that the food they have is the cheapest they can find - Care homes save as much money as possible for the patient to maximise their own profits.
I doubt the food for a single elderly lady will come to much, even if they're giving her caviar and truffles 3x a day.And I know that that the food they have is the cheapest they can find - Care homes save as much money as possible for the patient to maximise their own profits.
The majority of that £7K probably comes from rates, wages, energy and medical wossnames.
