Film Musical

Based on a Broadway Musical?

With Abba as central theme.

My wife is going to watch this tomorrow night with her sister. I'm looking after the kids. One has just caught a bug which renders her a 'vomit fountain'. The other is teething and a cascading dribble Niagra. Grumpy and angry with it too. It'll be a rough, slimy, smelly, unhappy, loud evening.

But I'd still rather babysit than toddle along to the cinema on this occasion.

I'm only being cheeky, I quite like ABBA. I wouldn't talk about it on the internet for everyone to see though.

Following some research, it turns out that there's nothing gay about ABBA at all.

Seen it, wasn't really bothered about seeing it, but my daughters (8 and 4) had already seen it and dragged me along to see it again.

Found it was one of those films that as long as you suspend reality for an hour and a half, and don't mind listening to Pearce Brosnan and Colin Firth's attempts at singing (actually part of the fun is their lack of singing ability) then you get to the end, and think "yeah, it was alright!". A real feel good film.

Well I went to see the musical, Mrs OB insisted, and it was awful. I have seen all sorts of stuff on the stage, I don't even hate Abba, but it was cringeworthy. But I heard the film is funnier...

Nope, never going to see it, it's on my list of films I'm never going to watch of which Brokeback Mountain is top. I'm not homophobic or owt, but IMHO cowboy films should be about a bloke in a poncho (with an Ennio Morricone score) shooting Lee Van Cleef...
