Time said:
It was disclosed earlier today that an investigation into contracts awarded to a close friend of Sir Ian had uncovered one deal which had not involved a tendering process.

The so-called “vanity contract”, to promote the commissioner’s image when he took over from Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington, was worth £15,000 to Impact Plus, a consultancy run by Andy Miller, a longtime friend of Sir Ian.

The award of £3 million of contracts to Impact Plus is under investigation by a team of officers led by Sir Ronnie Flanagan, HM Chief Inspector of Constabulary.
Good man Boris.

Quite how he ever lasted this long will be his only legacy.

A bumbling, policitally correct fool of the highest order.

Good riddance.

It is on BBC News at the moment. Even his resignation speech is full of denial!

I particularly liked the way Blair said that Boris had told him "in a "pleasant but determined" way that he wished to see a change of leadership."

Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall in that meeting.

Oh indeed!

"Don't get me wrong Ian, I like you what you've done with the place. But would you mind awfully if I asked you to skidaddle?"

Or something along those lines as I can't actually picture Boris saying skidaddle.

Awesome. BJ (even his initials are funny) moves another few steps up in my estimation.

Good riddance, Blair, you tt (funny, I seem to remember saying exactly this not that long ago...).

Blair: "Right you bds, who's nicked my hat?"

Boris: "So, I said to him "I think you need to skidaddle, old boy" and while he sloped off I made a grab for it!"

what they need now is a replacement who is a proper copper who likes nicking villains, from what ever race they are. Maybe they will have the backing of a mayor who wants the same.

Too right.

First Red Ken then Ian Blair next the whole Labour Government!

Brilliant.

You have to say, I always thought it would be Hague as PM and BJ as deputy, but much more of this and BJ will be the only option.

Even poor people love him.

Looks like the copper is feeling BJ's collar and/or giving/getting a masonic handshake.
