Is it April Fools at the Uni of Surrey?

http://www.dailytech.com/Climate+Change+Report+Cal...

"The average person eats 21 meals a week. According to a new plan to combat climate change, 17 of those will be government-mandated as meat-free. Targets set by the plan would limit weekly consumption of beef would be limited to 1/4 pound. Chicken and ham would be similarly limited, with four modest servings of meat available throughout a week. ...

The report's author, Tara Garnett, noted that voluntary campaigns were "doomed to fail" and strongly urged governments to mandate compliance"

I'm laughing.

But it's that sort of nervous giggle really - in a 'they'd never really ever suggest that - would they?' kind of way.

Next thing we'll all have to carry identity papers with our photos, thumb prints and DNA on and then we'll all be observed by CCTV cameras every minute of our lives.

It's ludicrous.

I caught this in the papers yesterday. One paragraph in, two words hit my mind "Stupid Hippies"

And turned the page.

There was a CCTV camera watching me waiting alone at the bus stop the other week. Tried to get it to 'dance' but it wouldn't, just kept staring at me frown

No, seriously, one some of them get laid they'll suddenly find there's so much more to life.

And the vibrations might help the sticks out of their arses.

From their website

"The Food Climate Research Network aims to provide a comprehensive research, policy and communications resource focusing on how the global greenhouse gas impacts of UK food consumption might be reduced. "

Impartial body by the sound of it.

That's settled, burger for lunch with a large shake

My butler thinks there is something conspiratorial about it all. That killing the meat industry would reduce further our dependence on material goods like oil and meat, and that this would further allow simple financial or governmental institutions to control us with monetary means.

But I am also convinced my butler is ragging the breasts of the Rolls. So I am not convinced, other than paying the matter some thought whilst watching him burn the cows.

Er, why. Eating pork and chicken is more or less carbon neutral. CO2 in to plants, plants into animals, CO2 into atmosphere. No methane here, not like those belching, gallumphing 'orrible old moo cows.

Eat more pork.

stopping Feckwitts breding and exhaling would not change climate change but would be a worthy cause.

Seems over complicated to me. We cannot stop climate change as it's part of the earths natural cycle, the CO2 stuff is just a tax thing. The increase in methane gas output is due to having more animals to feed a growing human population and they in turn need food to be grown for them etc.etc. Ladies and Gentlemen I proclaim that the answer to all our global problems is the humble condom longterm and an outbreak of avian flu to reduce human numbers as part of a short term cull. Sorted.

Come on, the report is likely to have been written by a 20ish year old student with no life experience or understanding of what she/he has written. The maths will have worked out, so she/he will have made the recommendation.

I read a safety report recently by a Graduate, who was concerned that a worker might inhale some swarf if it was dropped on the floor.

This is swarf

Had the newspapers read the report, they would have been concerned that people could inhale small springs and choke to death, thus calling for a ban on small springs.

I suspect it's another non news item personally.

I.Q. related extermination scheme.

Should do nicely...

Anyone under say.. 90 must be forced into armed forces, or ground up as meat for animals.

You want the armed forces to be formed by the educationally sub-normal? Are you quite mad?
