What would you do if you found an exploit with a self service checkout machine software with a certain popular UK cosmetics store? (Rhymes with Fruits!)

Who would you get in contact with? I don't know if they'd even be interested/understand!

What does the exploit allow you to do ? If it's 10% off haemorrhoid cream, then it's not worth mentioning wink

I've not tested it fully obviously but basically enables you to buy anything you want (multiple items) for the price of anything else.

He's found he can buy a 20 pack of Lillets to stem the anal leakage after an encounter with Rod, but make it appear as Asprin on his receipt to deflect his wife's curiosity.

Does it allow you to have the items you said you purchased in your bag when a staff member asks to see them?

Do you just put through another items barcode and put the item you want in the bag?

Hmm.

i walked out of tesco's yesterday with £15 worth of fillet steak by mistake. Didnt even realise i had not paid for it till i got home. The way i did it is so shockingly easy to do deliberatley or on purpose, people must be raping them.

I fecking hate self-service tills. I suppose next they won't even bother putting stuff on the shelves, just leave the lorries out the back and we'll help ourselves out of them.

does it involve holding the bottom of the carrier bag as you put items in but not scanning them? ie no weight in the bag and the til does not expect weight.

I saw some chavs doing this at the local Tesco Express and they were collared by the manager biggrin

Nope! Obviously not going to reveal it, looking at the receipt again the saving doesn't seem to be that much, obviously I've only tried this once though, if it works on anything else it could have massive implications, and yes, it's a software error, nothing to do with hiding smile

I suggest you tell us or we will be forced to send a link of this discussion to Boots lawyers, who will request your ip details from Haymarket, and then from your ISP and then they will come knocking on your door and mummy will not be happy at that hehe
