He has his 2 very young daughters for the 1st time since his split from his partner, then murders them.
This is beginning to become a very sad but regular pattern http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20080922/tuk-dea...

There is something very, very, wrong both with the fathers that do this, and the system that means they feel the need to.

Living in a caravan in the yard where you work probably didn't help.

Cara Van Man, want to chime in on this one?

Family courts, in the main.

The apathy and predisposition of most the population when it comes to the rights of fathers is not far behind.

I hold myself guilty in that regard until recently.

The system that says women do no wrong and men are always wrong...

I know these things...

This happened just up the road from the office I'm sat in. If I've got the right garage in mind (there are several within a few yards) it really will not have helped being there any length of time.

When I first heard what had happened and that it involved a Father and his two children, I was waiting to hear the words "had recently split up from his wife".

Very sad for all involved but I cannot understand why a Father could do such a thing. I, like many other men am divorced from my Son`s Mother. It hit me very hard when she left me, but taking either of our lives has never and will never enter my head.

I only speak for myself though. We all handle things differently.

I live 10 minutes walk away from that spot, and I can't imagine for one moment that living in a caravan in that particular garage helped at all either.
Poor, poor kids.

No matter how aggrieved someone is, there is no way I could ever have sympathy for someone who takes the life of a child - especially their own child.

I think the "system" may have a part to play - but the male inability to cope with "losing" is more likely to be the major factor - and is inexcusable.

I couldn't agree more. Saying I could comprehend the 'rationale' behind such an act is a very long way from condoning it in any shape or form.

So you're saying his competitve streak caused him to take the life of his two kids, less the fact he might not see them much or at all in future?

Yes, Mr Frog, you're right - It's got to be done. If you divorce your wife and she "wins" the kids, then you must kill them and yourself. Obvious, really.

Sadly, it is HIS way of a final and a guaranteed lifetime malice to his ex.
The most selfish act possible.
No thought given to the 2 young girls.
Just his vindictive revenge.

Living in a caravan is an unacceptable excuse.
