Just picked one up, half price (£4.99) from the local Co-Op. Are they as good as they're made out to be? Do you really need 5 blades?

Also, unlike most razors you buy, it didn't come with any spare blades. Let me guess - they cost a fortune, don't they?

They are good, to be honest.

Yes, the blades are scarily expensive. You can buy the normal Fusion ones to save a quid or so (same as the fusion power but a different colour plastic). They do, however, last a lot longer than Mach III's so porbably work out quite cost effective. The power bit's a waste of a AAA battery though.

Oh, and don't buy the cheap Fusion blades off Ebay- they're dodgy fakes.

Fusion power is pretty good, but I am thinking about moving over to a Wilkison Sword Quattro. Something about titanium blades is a big thumbup

slightly smoother then a mach 3 I found, blades last just as well (I usually grow a fair bit of stubble before shaving too). The power bit is useless though, I don't understand the need to have the razor vibrating over my face like a dildo.

I used the Fusion Power for a few months, but recently I had to drop back to the old Mach 3 (lost the Fusion on a recent trip..)

Its strange but I don`t notice much difference, the blades last longer on the Mach 3 and it might not give the "uber" close shave but its hard to tell - plus my skin doesn`t feel as "stripped"..

Everyones face is different, so its hard for anyone to give more than their own opinons smile

I did wonder what use the "power" aspect was - does a slight vibration really make a difference?

According to Gillette - "Emits gentle micro pulses for an incredible shaving experience". I bought the Stealth for the "power" but kept it for the looks...

I bought the new King of Shaves, hoping to wean myself off the expensive Fusion Power, but it isn't as good. I'll go back to Fusion Power when this blade is finished.

I'm not sure if their marketing of this is meant to annoy me into staying with the Mach-3 or persuade me to change.

Mach-3 works fine for me so I see no need to change.

...and especially don't try to type whilst holding a vibrating razor - it makes all your words come out in gobbledygook.

That's the thing though - I'm a one-shave-a-week man. I don't need to be clean-shaven for work and I hate shaving, so don't usually bother. But the laydee protests at the unwanted exfoliation she gets when we have a bit of a snog, so I shave for the weekends.

Blazor rades tend to last quite a while in my hands.
